The facing of the house is still wood: horizontal pine boards at the front and the rear
and cedar clapboard on both ends.
It is the interior that has been probably transformed several times over the years. However il still has the style of the past that gives the warmth that one expects from such a house.

We spent most of our active working life in the city. We decided long ago that, when the retirement time comes, we will run away from the city and live our life somewhere near the
A nice house, a large lot, lots of trees and flowers, the river, the mountains..... the peace and the charm of the country in a village and a region which is full of interesting attractions. We consider ourselves very lucky...we din't know that we had such a good life..! Anyhow we just love the place. |

| Although we knew the region, we made a lot of discoveries since we moved here. We did not know the name CÔTE-DU-SUD (litterally «SOUTH COAST») before we chose to move to St-Jean-Port-Joli. If you are in the same situation as we were, do beleive us: this region is worth being travelled to, visited, discovered or rediscovered It is in this part of Quebec that we, mostly trace back the The time did not erease these prints. |
